God has always called His people to be separated. As many of you reading this post know, that is not easy! We are bombarded by the culture of this world. But God has His own culture and we have to constantly be aware of the challenge to remain in His culture. But it’s not just a culture, God is a Spirit! And we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
God made the world to produce after its own kind. Carnality begets carnality and Spirit begets Spirit. If you are in a church where the Spirit of God is not moving- there is no anointing to break yokes of carnality. To be carnally minded is death, but to be Spiritually minded is LIFE and peace. Death begets death and life begets life. If we sow to the Spirit, we reap life, if we sow to the flesh, we reap death. We are ignorant of these principles, because in most places we are not challenged to review our lives and observe unto which we are sowing- spirit or flesh.
The Word of God is very powerful! It has the power to cleanse your mind and light your path. It can separate what is of the soul (mind, will and emotions) from what is of the Spirit. It is a 2 edge sword, having the power to divide the soul from the Spirit. And the PREACHING of the Word is to the world is as foolishness but unto us, it is salvation!!! We are saved, we are being saved as we are under the preaching of the Word!
Many think as long as your going to church, you will grow and if you put in an hour or two on Sunday morning you’re good. But I declare to you that there is a process whereby you grow in the Spirit. “For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth." It has to be something one really desires and a willingness to search it out. God is putting a hunger in His people.
God has given to the church some apostles, some prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists. But even if the ordination is there, not all carry an anointing because not all are willing to pay the price. And some ministers value traditions of church cultural more than personally pressing into to God for their own revelation and relationship. They are liken unto to those of whom they have sat under or learned from because they are produced after their own kind. In saying this, I’m making the point that not all churches have what is needed for your growth spiritually.
God anoints His ministers not so they can be prideful and lifted up, but that they use the power of God to help the people. The anointing is there so yokes can be broken and God’s people CAN be spiritually minded; therefore worshiping Him in Spirit. Jesus said, My word is Spirit. "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”
It is important to be under the anointing and where the Word is being preached because God wants us to be spiritually minded! We are to be partakers of LIFE as well as givers of LIFE. It is our inheritance! Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly. That’s not about natural things which are temporal, but about the power to become sons of God! God wants to empower His people, and we must be willing to desire it, refraining from the culture of this world which is carnal and the religious traditions which are powerless.
If you think you don’t need to be under the anointing or that all churches are the same, you need to rethink. God is moving His people upward into a spiritual existence which enhances our understanding and knowledge of Him. Daniel talked about a people that will know their God, be strong and do exploits. I believe we are that people for this generation! I challenge you by this post to search out those who paid a price and carry an anointing on their lives that they may serve you in all ways for your growth!!
