The Practice of Yielding To The Holy Spirit & Drawing Near To God

In 2004, 15 days before Christmas I went to Bali, Indonesia to fast and pray. After 7 days, I returned to the USA. 7 days later, one of the biggest tsunamis hit and left a huge chain of events in that country.

At the end of June 2019, I went to California to spy out the land and seek God about starting a work in that state. The thought crossed my mind as I got on the plane, “would there be an earthquake 7 days after my return from this state?” And IT WAS SO, exactly!! My mother even texted me after seeing a pattern of these events and others, asking me why it occurred so often. (Of course, many of you saw the post of the warning to pray bc of the “intense flooding and earthquakes”that were to come worldwide” in July and it occurred soon after the post).

God leads His people. Some missions given to us by the Spirit don’t have to have voice or a preach. Just our presence will bring about the will of God when He decides to do something in the earth.

You see, we are vessels that carry the energy or the light of God. When we yield to the Spirit of God that is in us as believers and practice it for MANY years, then that Spirit begins to penetrate our physical flesh. It’s not just words that have power but our very being can carry as much as a voice or more. The Spirit cannot be contained within us alone. It permeates our bones and flows in our existence. “And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulcher of Elisha. And when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood up on his feet.” Even though Elisha was dead, the Spirit of LIFE remained in His bones. He had reached a place in God that permeated His natural body.

The Spirit also penetrates in clothing, 2 Kings 2:9-14 NKJV. “Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, ‘Where is the LORD God of Elijah?’ And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.”

And as it was with Paul, Acts 19:11-12 NKJV “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.” The very essence of the Lord begins to shine forth out of us as it did with Peter, Acts 5:14-16 NIV “… people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.”

And Jesus in Mathew 17, “After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light” We are vessels that contain the glory of the Lord. It is to be revealed in and through us. It is necessary to yield to The Spirit and not the flesh for the light to become brighter and brighter through us. The molecules take on the light as they did in the Holy of Holies where the ark of the covenant rested. There was no natural light or candles that lit up the 3rd court of the tabernacle- only the presence of a God. Every molecule in the air absorbed the energy or the light of God, radiating from the ark. As the ark was a vessel, so are we. Wherever the ark was found, it brought either blessings or it brought judgement. It was alive and powerful!!

The yielded vessel becomes God’s ark today, not to be lifted up in pride but to bring the will of God on earth as it is in heaven! The ark was the energy of God which charged the atmosphere everywhere it traveled. It was a type and shadow of the vessels we are today.

WHAT LIES WITHIN US AS BELIEVERS, WAITING TO BE MANIFESTED AS WE HUMBLE OURSELVES AND YEILD TO IT?

Must we not seek after this kingdom within and press toward the mark of the high call? It is just beyond our humility and passion to seek Him!
