Count The Cost For Success

One of the most important decisions you’ll make in life is whether or not to walk away or try harder! If you wait to make this decision and stay on the fence, you’re not only wasting time but also energy. Once you CHOOSE, purpose in your heart to go full throttle!! I encounter people all the time of whom vacillate. One day it’s this and the next day it’s that, they are second guessing themselves because it gets hard. It’s going to get hard!! Anything worth fighting for is going to be hard! But you have to decide what you want and what God wants for you and run with it. DON’T HESITATE, DON’T LOOK BACK, DON’T SECOND GUESS!

The Bible says to consider the cost BEFORE you build or before you go to war. Analyze it, count the cost. Luke 14:28 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—29) lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30) saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? 31) Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 33) So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

This principle can not only be applied to discipleship, but in all areas of our lives to which God has called us. Being a good steward over our gifts, talents, money, job, family, etc... When God is pleased with the faithfulness and the excellence He has found in our lives, He rewards us by giving more—More talent, more gifts, more money, a greater family. ... There is so much waiting for all of us as we count the cost, put away self pity, complaints, doing only what is asked of us and not one more thing!

As told in the Bible, Daniel had a more excellent spirit. And it was recognized and rewarded. Joseph rose to the top wherever he was, in a pit or sold as a slave. Let us go the extra mile, stand out, because of our excellence, our faithfulness, our diligence, our great attitude and our dedication in everything we put our hand to do and watch the heavens open and the rewards begin to fall on us.

We don’t have to be the most talented to get to the top of our game, we just have to want it badly enough to fight for it and willing to forsake the other things we love in our lives until we achieve our dream! COUNT THE COST!
